Uniunea de Dezvoltare Durabilă a Agriculturii din România (UDDAR) is a private institution of public interest, constituted under the Ordinance no. 26/2000 on associations and foundations and Decree No.31 / 1954 regarding the natural and legal persons. UDDAR has as its objective the sustainable development of Romanian rural area. Sustainable development is based on three pillars: economic, environmental and social and UDDAR intends to act on all three directions and to promote entrepreneurship in rural areas, based on partnerships between the local population, government and academic institutions, whose purpose will be modernization of agricultural activities based on innovation, specialization farm, cooperation and integration. A modern agriculture, non-aggressive to the environment, preserving biodiversity and ensuring employment of population and food, is a passport to a secure future for any nation.
